Dame Margaret Barbour designed the Bedale to meet the needs of jockeys: it featured a short length, a relaxed fit, vents at the back, and the essential nylon drip tape that prevented moisture from the horse from seeping into the jacket. Crafted from a highly functional, mid-weight (170g) waxed cotton and featuring an optional zip-off thermal lining and hood, the Bedale is the perfect jacket for year-round wear.
